The PROGRAM will facilitate access to Ontario's health care system through supporting the implementation of innovative technologies in Ontario-based clinical institutions. For the participating clinical institution, the PROGRAM facilitates access to leading edge Medical and Assistive Technologies (MAT) at little to no direct financial cost. The long term goal is to support the procurement efforts of Ontario-based MAT SMEs through local customer validation vis-a-vis the technology assessment. The PROGRAM is not intended to directly fund technology development rather it is to support the uptake of developed innovative health technologies within clinical institutions, and as well enhance the export opportunities for the SME involved.
