In January of 2009, htx.ca - The Health Technology Exchange (HTX) began surveying the Medical and Assistive Technology (MAT) community to find out what specialized resources are available to those commercializing medical technologies, performing medical research, or otherwise contributing to the MAT sector in Canada. To date, we have surveyed over 42 institutions in Ontario and 13 in other provinces. The majority of the facilities surveyed are publicly funded research institutions (clinics, colleges, hospitals and universities), and 97% of the resources and facilities are accessible to the public. The information has been split into 33 categories, and is available here for the first time.
